One of the features of the Apple iPhone is the ability to customize the device to suit your tastes. You can use the iPhone’s settings to add a new wallpaper or use the App Store application to download and install new applications to the Home screen. The Home screen is the main screen that appears when you turn on the phone.
Instructions

Add Icons

Tap the “App Store” from the Home screen.

Navigate to an application you want to download by using the categories and sections, such as “Featured” or “Top 25.” Alternatively, tap the “Search” button and type the name of the application you want to download.

Tap the application you want to download, and then tap the button that has the price of the application or “Free.”

Tap the “Install” button, and enter your iTunes password when prompted. The application downloads and installs on your iPhone and its icon appears on the screen. If you have a lot of applications installed, the application’s icon appears on the last screen.

Touch and hold the icon for a few seconds and all of the icons on the screen jiggle.

Drag the icon to the left side of the last screen to move it to the Home screen. If there are several screens, keep dragging the icon to the left until it reaches the Home screen. Add any other icons you want to add to the Home screen by dragging it while the icons are jiggling.

Press the “Home” button to set the icons on the Home screen.
Add Wallpaper

Tap the “Settings” icon from the home screen.

Tap “Wallpaper” and then tap the image of the Home screen.

Tap an image or photo from the list. If you select a photo, drag it to position it on the screen. Pinch to zoom the photo in or out until you achieve the desired look.

Tap “Set” and then tap “Home Screen.”
