How do you create a Facebook Fan Page for your business? Not too long ago I wasn’t sure how to do this myself, just finding the link through Facebook is difficult. In this article, I will show you how to create a fan page and embed HTML content into it. This article assumes you have HTML experience.
Creating a Page
First, follow this link to create a fan page http://facebook.com/pages/create.php
You will come to the following screen, depending on your business, click on one of the boxes. This will narrow down your choices of business types.
Creating an iFrame App
Now that you’ve created your Facebook Fan Page its time to create an iFrame app which will act as a mini webpage within your Facebook Page. To get startedclick here to be directed to Facebook’s create app page.
Next, type in your app name, agree to Facebook’s terms, and click create app. After that, fill in the captcha.
Next, you will see the following screen. Fill out the information and click on the website tab on the left hand side (click save changes at the very end).
After that, fill out the site url of your webpage you want plugged into your Facebook Page under “Site URL”, ex. http://reactdesignstudios.com/. Then fill out your site’s domain under “Site Domain”.
Then, click on Facebook Integration and fill out “Canvas Page”, this will be the base URL of your app on Facebook. Then fill out “Canvas URL” which is the same as “Site URL”. After that, choose “Auto-resize” under “iFrame Size”. Under “Tab Name” fill out what you want to see in your sidebar when you select the app. “Tab URL” is the same as “Site URL”.
Click “Save Changes” and you have just created an app!
Integrating Your App
Now its time to add your app to your page, to do this first click on the application profile page shown in the screenshot below
Then, on the left side of the app’s profile page select “Add to My Page”. A window will pop up asking which page you want to add your app to, choose your main page (The one that says your business type under it), then click close.
After that, click account at the top left of the screen and click “Use Facebook as Page”. You should notice your app now showing up on the sidebar on the left side of the screen.
On the right hand side of the page, at the top, there is an edit page button, click that and the page below will appear. You want to select the name of your newly created app as the “Default Landing Tab” for your visitors to see when they first visit your page.

Click “Profile” at the top right of the page to see your new Facebook Fan Page in action!
