Consumer Electronics Show(CES) is one of the most popular and amazing electronics show ever. It gives you an opportunity to see several brands together and see what new can they bring to the table. Samsung, Sony, Motorola, LG, Nokia, and so many other brands. You have everything to see in a single event which is of three days. Different things are launched and today was the first day of CES. Many products were launched and many products were given a hands-on review.

Nokia Lumia 900 Announced!
Well, as the rumors suggested, Nokia Lumia 800′s successor has been launched at the CES. Nokia Lumia 900 is going to be exclusive to AT&T at the time of launch. It comes with a polycarbonate unibody. It has LTE connectivity, 4.3 inches ClearBlack AMOLED screen, 1.4 Ghz Scorpion CPU and a lot more. This is something you wouldn’t like to see. Release date is still not made public.
HTC Titan II With 16 Megapixels Camera Announced!
Talk about uniqueness! HTC has come up with another unique phone which will beat many point and shoot cameras. 16 Megapixels camera! Woah! Well, 2012, I knew would bring many great technologies. HTC Titan II is another Windows Phone with version 7.5, 1.5 Ghz processor, 4.7 inches screen and a lot more. This camera centric phone will surely be popular at the time of launch. It is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2012.
Motorola Droid 4 Announced!
Motorola did not stay back at the CES. It launched yet another phone in their Droid series. A touch and type phone with slidable QWERTY keypad. Motorola would be happy expecting high results from this phone. It comes with a 4.0 inches screen with a slidable QWERTY keypad. It will come with a 16GB memory which is expandable up to 32 GB. 8 megapixels camera, Android v2.3(Gingerbread), 1.2 Ghz processor are the other features powering this phone. It is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2012.
LG Spectrum Announced!
Another brand, another phone, another well packed monster. Reading the powerful specifications of this phone may make this phone your desire. It is a true HD phone and can show your content in beautiful quality. 1.5 Ghz processor, LTE connectivity, 4.5 inches screen, 8 megapixels camera, Android 2.3(Gingerbread, planned upgrade to Android 4.0) are the other features in this phone. It will launch on January 19 2012 and will join the Verizon gang soon.
Sony Xperia S Announced!
CES marks the end of Sony Ericsson and the birth of Sony as a leading smartphone manufacturer. Sony has announced two new phones and Sony Xperia S is one of them. 4.3 inches screen, 12 megapixels camera, 1.5 Ghz dual core processor, Android v2.3(Gingerbread, planned upgrade to Android 4.0), Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine, etc. are the features that power this phone. It is definitely very powerful and a great phone. It will launch in the first quarter of 2012.
Sony Xperia Ion Announced!
Sony has come up with two phones as I have told you before. The second one is Xperia Ion. Xperia Ion differs in design but is quite the same when it comes to specifications. Never the less, repeating the above specs a bit won’t hurt. It is PlayStation Certified as well which is a huge advantage. 2 HD cameras, 4.5 inches screen, 12 megapixels camera, 1.5 Ghz dual core processor, Android v2.3 and just like these. Good phone and I guess, Sony would make a lot of money from the new models in Xperia series. It will launch in the second quarter of 2012.
Huawei Ascend P1 and Huawei Ascend P1 S Announced!
Huawei is not a much famous company in the smartphone world but yet they couldn’t stay back in taking part in CES. They have announced two new phones: Ascend P1 and Ascend P1 S. They also let the visitors use them. Much specs are not revealed. Some specs are 4.3 inch screen, Android 4.0 OS, qHD resolution and that’s all. There wasn’t much info available sadly.
Tablets
Asus Transformer Prime 700T with FullHD screen Announced!
Even though the first day of CES wasn’t much focused on tablets, this tablet gathered a lot of attention. Being a FullHD tablet, this tablet gathered the most attention. Other than being FullHD, it has a SuperIPS+ technology, 10.1-inch screen, Tegra 3 chip with four 1.3 GHz Cortex-A9 cores, Android 4.0, etc. It is priced at $599(32 GB) and $699(64 GB). It is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2012.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 Announced!
Acer launched this tablet in the end of the first day. They used the final part of the first day to showcase the Acer Iconia Tab A700, another tablet which has come with Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich). 10.1 inch screen, 1.3 Ghz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1080p playback, 1925 x 1200 pixels, etc. power this tablet and make it quite competitive to the Transformer Prime 700T.
Lenovo Ideatab S2 and Lenovo Ideatab K2 Announced!
Lenovo launched two new tablets to be in the race and what more, both of them are Android 4.0 powered and have more great specifications. Ideatab S2 comes with 20 hour battery life and a keyboard dock which was quite needed in the tabs. 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 1280 x 800 resolution, etc. are available in S2. Ideatab K2 also have quite similar specs. There’s a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 chip to power it hugely. There is a fingerprint reader on the back and dual speakers running down either side of the screen. The camera is 8 megapixels which is good. At last, we have to say that these two tablets have the capabilities to rule the world and give head to head competition to top tablets in the market. Let’s see how it goes.
Toshiba Excite 10 Announced!
Toshiba Excite 10 is being claimed as the most stylish tablet yet. It is undoubtedly stylish but may not be the most stylish one I guess. Never the less, the tablet is great with the specs and design. 10.1 inch screen, 1.2 Ghz dual core processor, 5 megapixels camera, Android 4.0, etc. Good to see that Android 4.0 is spreading in all the latest tablets. It would be a treat for the Android fans.
Final Words
Well, the first day has passed and already so much amazingness. I am very much excited to see the next couple of days. I am waiting for Galaxy S III to launch but as the rumors suggest, it will launch at MWC 2012.
