2011 has been a great year for technology and this fact cannot be denied. Some devices such as Apple iPhone 4s, Apple iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nokia Lumia 800 and a few more of these devices have contributed a lot in making 2011 a great year for technology. After 2011, expectations in 2012 have increased a lot. Technology would definitely improve, new gadgets would come.
New phones will come, everything would be better than ever. 2012 is very popular as the year when the world will come to an end, yet the new technologies to come in 2012 have even faded the world ending news. This shows that how technology affects the world. 2012 would definitely bring many great gadgets. I will tell you 4 of them.
1. Apple iPhone 5
Definitely! This might be the first phone that came to your mind when you read the topic. iPhone 5 was first expected highly in 2011 itself. Apple replied by announcing an event and people expected that iPhone 5 would be launching in this event. But Apple, in the views of many people, excluding me, betrayed them and launched iPhone 4S. iPhone 5 still remained a future gadget. Now again, iPhone 5 is being expected to be launched in 2012 but will it launch? Well, iPhone 5 is made up of rumors and we have some rumored specs as well!

- Totally touchscreen! No button on it.
- iOS 5 or iOS 6
- At least 8 megapixel camera with LED flash
- Near Field Communication(NFC)
- 4G
Well, there were more specs rumored but I have shared only those which I think can be actually implemented on iPhone 5. Apple iPhone 5 may be the most awaited gadget of this year so Apple would definitely get very popular if they launch it. Let’s see if they do it and when they do it!
2. Apple iPad 3
If iPhone 5 is expected from Apple, so is iPad 3. iPad was first launched a couple of years ago and last year, we saw iPad 2 so most probably we would see an iPad 3 this year. First iPad was revealed on 27th January 2010 and the second one was revealed on 2nd March 2011. By this you can see that both the tablets have been launched in the first quarters of the years. So, most probably, even iPad 3 would launch in the first quarter and 24th March 2012 is the most rumored date because this day is the birthday of the legend Steve Jobs. The rumored specs of this tab are given below.

- 1.5 Ghz or 2.0 GHz processor

Apple iPad 3 is expected to launch in this March and in my opinion also, it would launch in March. I cannot be 100% sure but I highly expect Apple to launch it in this March. People are highly dependent on Apple this year I guess.
3. Samsung Galaxy S III
Rumors about this phone are already surfacing the internet and all that has made people to believe that this phone will launch in 2012 and why not. Samsung Galaxy S II has helped Samsung a lot in gaining the top smartphone manufacturer position. Galaxy S II is one of the best smartphones Samsung has ever offered. All this increases Galaxy S III’s expectations all of a sudden. Galaxy S III would definitely have a lot. It is also expected to launch in 2012 so let’s see its rumored specs.

Samsung Galaxy S III is most likely going to launch in the Mobile World Congress 2012. MWC is definitely a great platform for latest and amazing phones to be launched. Samsung can surely use the MWC to launch one of their greatest phones ever. Otherwise, they may also conduct a special event to launch Samsung Galaxy SIII.
4. Nokia Lumia 900
Nokia Lumia 800 is undoubtedly a wonderful phone and definitely the best chance Nokia has to get back their position. Nokia Lumia 800 is topping the charts at some places and is in the top 2 or top 3 at the others. Lumia 800 is great and that is the reason Nokia may be hurrying to give their fans more and more better phones like Lumia 800. Nokia Lumia 900 doesn’t have much specifications leaked so here are a few expected ones.

- Windows Phone 7.5
- Front facing camera
- 4.0 inch screen size
- 12 megapixels camera
Nokia Lumia 900 is expected to launch most likely in Consumer Electronic Show. If it launches in CES, it would be quite fast for Nokia to launch the sequel to their first Windows Phone. Never the less, this would not only help Nokia, it would even make the Nokia fans happy. CES would be a great pick for Nokia to launch Nokia Lumia 900. What’s better, CES is starting tomorrow itself.
Final Thoughts
I really think all these gadgets are definitely going to launch in 2012. It would be amazing to see how and when these phones will be launched. Either way, it is gonna be an amazing wait. Personally, I am waiting for iPhone 5 because I am really excited to see what changes would Apple bring to it. Well, we would have to wait and watch!
