Although Windows Phone embeds pretty deep Facebook integration, the operating system still somehow feels a dearth of certain tweaks. There’s no doubt that Facebook app for Windows lends support to a host of great features for users to keep their social life active. But, users who were grumbling over their inability to like posts and join groups are finally answered. Facebook has now just unleashed the latest update, v2.3, for its official app on the Windows Phone platform.

Even though it took Facebook quite a lot of time to release an enhanced version, the new update however appears to be way too promising. The upgrade comes equipped with a few new features and changes that have been recommended by Windows Phone users. That should certainly make people as pleased as a punch!
Fresh Design
Integrated with significant modifications, the refurbished app will now include a fresh, attractive panorama design and a new profile layout. With this, Facebook has rightly answered those who were hanging onto their hats to glance through some visual changes. The software stands distinguished for showcasing neatly outlined transformations.
Improved Navigation & News Feed
In fact, the feature-rich 2.3 will also enable users to seamlessly experience banner images and enhanced navigation. The latter, however, zooms on making things simpler for users who seek comfortable scrolling of pages and proper direction-findings. Users will even be noticing certain prominent improvements to the Facebook News Feed as well. Hopefully, by taking advantage of which, users will be allowed to stay connected all throughout with unprecedented ease and comfort.
Changes to Facebook Pages
Apart from all this, the version 2.3 brings in a number of alterations to the Facebook Pages and Privacy. While the social networking app includes a wide roster of attributes, the recently planked down ‘news feed performance’ improvements catch attention the most.
Support for 'Liking' Posts
At the same time, users will be enabled to visit the Pages, test out their Groups and finally see who ‘likes’ their posts. However, it may intrigue users as Facebook for Windows never had an integrated support for ‘liking’ the posts earlier. This for sure is an important step-up, especially for social butterflies that were searching for a way to revamp their interaction with Facebook on the smartphone. Not to forget though, the app has also dealt with a couple of performance lags and has fixed a few bugs for better functionality.
Overall Improvements
Be it updating the current status, conversing with closed friends, posting some interesting photos, or poking others for fun, the app for Windows now makes everything simpler. However, it still needs to be divulged whether the recently rolled out update will be lending support to the different video formats.
Hopefully, the newly introduced Facebook for Windows 2.3 will literally change the manner consumers communicate with others. So, without really losing on time, users can straightforwardly visit Windows’ Official Marketplace from their mobile device and tap open the ‘update’ queue. Nonetheless, the up gradation procedure might take some hours for the version 2.3 notifications to buzz the handset’s screen though.
