Few days back, we talked about the battery issues which were faced by Apple iPhone 4S users and informed about the solution to that problem. The latest version of iOS i.e. iOS 5.0.1 beta which was released to developers few days back, its stable version is released to public today.
But this time it’s a very special update for two reasons, first reason is “It will resolve the battery issues which you are facing on your iPhone 4S” and the second reason is “for the first time, Apple released iOS update over-the-air (OTA)”, which means now you can update your phone by just using 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi, No need to connect your phone to PC/iTunes. The size of the update is extremely tiny i.e. 44.6MB.
The new version iOS 5.0.1 includes the following changes
Bugs affecting battery life are fixed
Multi-tasking gesture for iPad is added
Bugs related with documents on cloud is resolved
Voice recognition for Australian users has been improved.
You can update your phone by both the ways, either by OTA (Over-the-Air) or by connecting your phone to PC and download via iTunes.
