While there’s nothing outstanding about the ASUS EEE 1015PX design, the non-glossy finish is a welcome decision to prevent smudges and scratches. The 10.1-inch non-glare LED screen in ASUS EEE 1015PX also sports a matte finish. The keyboard of ASUS EEE 1015PX has a chiclet design, but the keys are too small. The netbook is powered by an Intel Atom N570 dualcore 1.66 GHz CPU, with a 320 GB hard drive, and 1 GB RAM.
For connectivity in ASUS EEE 1015PX, it’s got Wi-Fi n, Ethernet, Bluetooth 3.0, plus three USB 3.0 ports, which is great. A VGA port and a multi-card reader are also included in ASUS EEE 1015PX. File copy tests saw a speed of 25.44 MB/s for a single 4 GB file, and 16.71 MB/s for assorted files. File compression took 2 minutes 39 seconds, while video encoding took 5 minutes 31 seconds, which is much faster than competing netbook.
Even the synthetic scores in Cinebench R10 were much higher. While the antiglare makes for comfortable viewing, the viewing angles aren’t great. Watching videos was a good experience in ASUS EEE 1015PX, but the speakers aren’t the best or loud enough eitherin ASUS EEE 1015PX. The 6 cell Li-Ion battery churns out about 3 hours 22 minutes of run time, which isn’t great for a netbook. The ASUS EEE 1015PX has a good design, is loaded with features, and performs better than the average netbook. Most impressive is it’s price tag of Rs 15,199 of ASUS EEE 1015PX, which makes it great value for money.
