Motorola and HTC have never been great rivals. It is so perhaps because HTC evolved when Motorola died but currently both the companies are on fire and hence the friction between these two is at the top-level. Motorola has recently announced the Motorola Fire and on the other hand HTC has already rolled out a great QWERTY phone named as HTC Chacha. Both the phones are touch and type. Now let’s see what happens when Motorola Fire will stand against HTC Chacha. Here goes the comparison.
HTC Chacha vs Motorola Fire
Form Factor
Motorola Fire has got 116.5 x 58 x 13.5 mm dimensions while on the other hand HTC Chacha has got 114.4 x 64.6 x 10.7 mm dimensions. Though HTC Chacha is a bit smaller in length but it is wider and more sleek. Weight of Motorola fire is 110grams while the weight of HTC Chacha is 120grams.
Both the phones have got TFT capacitive touchscreen support. Motorola Fire is a 2.8inch phone with 143ppi pixel density while HTC Chacha is a 2.6inch phone with 222ppi pixel density. Screen size of HTC Chacha though is small yet its pixel density is better than Motorola Fire and I don’t think compromising 0.2inch screen for 79ppi pixel density will be a bad decision.
Winner – HTC Chacha
Processor
HTC Chacha – 800MHz
Motorola Fire – Veiled
Processor of Motorola Fire is yet not revealed and hence we have to give the benefit of doubt to the HTC Chacha. I “personally” think that Motorola Fire’s processor will be inferior to that of HTC Chacha, remember they are my personal views. Anything can happen.
Winner – HTC Chacha
Display
I have already discussed much about this catalog in the form factor section. HTC Chacha is having a bit better display than Motorola Fire. Though the screen size of Motorola Fire is larger but its pixel density is really poor. Rest almost all the things are same.
Winner – HTC Chacha

Motorola Fire – 3.15MP primary camera
HTC Chacha – 5MP primary camera
The primary camera quality of HTC Chacha is really nice; it’s having a 5MP primary camera while the Motorola Fire is having a 3.15MP primary camera. HTC Chacha also supports features like autofocus, LED flash while Motorola Fire doesn’t support such features. HTC Chacha also has a secondary VGA camera while there is no secondary camera in case of Motorola Fire. Winner – HTC Chacha
Operating System
Motorola Fire – Android v2.3(Gingerbread)
HTC Chacha – Android v2.3(Gingerbread)
The operating systems of both the phones are same so we can’t compare these two. I personally don’t like such situations, in which the things get same. So, this will be a tie.
Winner – Tie
Data Connectivity
Data connectivity quality of HTC Chacha and Motorola Fire are almost same. Motorola Fire supports 3G on both the SIMs with HSDPA 900/ 2100 band support, HTC Chacha too supports 3G on same bands. Both the phones also support GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth v2.1 on Fire and v3.0 on HTC Chacha. Almost all the data connectivity features of both the phones are same except the better Bluetooth version of HTC Chacha and dual SIM support on Motorola Fire so the decision is yours, whether you want dual SIM phone or a phone with better transfer rate. Had I to choose between these two, I would have gone with Chacha.
Winner – Depends
Memory
HTC Chacha – Internal memory not revealed, expandable 32GB
Motorola Fire – 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 32GB expandable memory, 2GB included
The included memory of HTC Chacha is 2GB while the internal memory of Motorola Fire is not yet revealed, not only the internal memory but things like RAM, ROM etc too are veiled. So we have to give the benefit of doubt to HTC Chacha.
Winner – HTC Chacha

HTC Chacha – Standard battery, Li-Ion 1250 mAh
Motorola Fire – Standard battery, Li-Ion 1400 mAh

On the other hand, HTC Chacha’s battery keeps it alive for 430hrs on 2G, 660hrs on 3G. In both the cases HTC Chacha’s battery is better than that of Motorola Fire, though Motorola Fire’s battery is more powerful.
